Modern Slavery Policy

1. Introduction


Arcadia Flooring is committed to ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation have no place in our business or supply chains. We take seriously our responsibility to act ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and to implement effective systems and controls to safeguard against modern slavery.  

2. Our Business and Supply Chain

We provide flooring installation services across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK. Our operations involve:

  • Employing and engaging both direct employees and subcontractors to undertake subfloor preparation, flooring installation, and associated works.

 

  • Procuring flooring products, materials, equipment, and other supplies necessary for the delivery of our services.

 

  • Working with suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers who support the successful completion of flooring installation projects.

 

This supply chain includes labour providers, subcontractors, material suppliers, manufacturers, and other business partners operating within the UK. We are committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place within our business or supply chains.

 

3. Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.

  • Ensuring employees, subcontractors and suppliers meet our standards on ethical labour practices.

  • Building long-term, trusted relationships with partners who share our values.

  • Taking steps to identify, prevent, and address risks in our operations and supply chain.

4. Subcontractors and Suppliers

To manage risks in our supply chain, we will:

  • Carry out due diligence checks on subcontractors and key suppliers where appropriate.

  • Require subcontractors and suppliers to comply with all relevant legislation, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

  • Include contractual obligations that prohibit modern slavery and promote fair working conditions.

  • Take action, up to and including termination of contracts, if we become aware of breaches.  
     

5. Staff and Awareness

  • All staff involved in procurement or managing subcontractors must be alert to the risks of modern slavery.

  • We encourage staff to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.

  • Concerns should be reported to The Director.  
     

6. Reporting Concerns
 

We are committed to providing a safe and open environment where concerns can be raised. Any employee, subcontractor, or supplier can report suspected modern slavery issues to The Director of Arcadia Flooring, and we will investigate promptly and thoroughly.  
 

7. Continuous Improvement
 

We are committed to reviewing and improving our approach to identifying and managing modern slavery risks. This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains effective and up to date.
